The core of conventional solar cells are silicon wafers that are doped with foreign atoms. Before the foreign atoms are introduced, the silicon wafers are pretreated in acidic etching baths. The ion chromatography method presented is used for the simultaneous determination of HF, HNO3, H2SO4, short-chain organic acids, and H2SiF6 in these baths.
